hey

first, i have used a motive of a picture from *Baro [link]
i thougt i have to make a picture with this perspective and thats the result...

and big thx to gucken -> [link] for the help by some problems i got, Specifically with the comet.

EDIT:

made the nebula new, tried some things with a rendered volumetric nebula, but it didnt work and then i start to paint...
its not the result i wanted, but its better as the old one :D
also made some small changes on the planets.

Snagged another download from you, mostly attracted to the usage of purple plumes.
Interesting enough, I don't think any other artists I've seen before bother with the idea of aligning three planets (or planets altogether) that are all earth planets.

Very nice. A small technical criticism, though: the tail of the comet should be pointed away from its sun. I don't think it takes away from the piece, though. Scientific accuracy is trumped by artistic licence :) .
